For Memorial Day weekend we went to Richfield. Skyeler has been wanting to go visit his dad for quite some time and his brother had just graduated High School and then there were his older two siblings that still hadn't met Mikena yet. So there were lots of reasons for going. I was a little hesitant cause we haven't traveled that far with Mikena (I know it was only a two hour drive) and there were going to be a ton of people in the house and I get a little weird when there are tons of people around when I need to feed Mikena.
But long story short it was fine. Mikena did really well and we enjoyed our time.We had a very busy weekend though between having many people meet Mikena and spending time with family and the activities planned. We went 4-wheeling up to the area that we went shooting, (Mikena stayed behind with Grandma and Aunt Shalain) came back and had a bbq/dinner, family pics, and then went over to Mom and Toms and had a marshmallow roast with Jessica and Daniel and a bunch of other people. That was quite fun. I do love smores and roasting stuff over the fire.
On Monday Skyeler and I got ready to head back home. Before leaving we stopped off at the cemetery... I do love seeing all the flags and flowers that flood the area.We stopped off at my Great Grandma and Grandpa Manwells, Grandma and Grandpa Kunzler and Aunt Kathy's graves. I can't believe how long it has been since I have seen them and I miss them terribly. Especially since we have had Mikena. I would love to have her know them and to know how amazing these people are. I don't go more than a couple of days without thinking of them and just wishing I could talk with them.
These people really have influenced my life a great deal and I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life and that Families are Forever. I can't wait until I can see them again. I impatiently await that day.
