This week has been and will be an interesting one. On Tuesday Skyeler and I woke up at 5am so we could make it to Nephi by 6:30 so my cousin Kara could be to work by 7. The reason why we came up is because while Kara's husband is gone and while Sky is at work I am babysitting Regan Kara and Josh's cute 11 week old baby. Tuesday I got to baby sit for a whole 10 hrs. Just me and baby. It was a bit intimidating but I lived. Today it won't be quite so long because I still had to go to class. But tomorrow will be a normal 8 or so hrs then Friday Kara gets home around 12 so it will be a short day.
I think trying to watch an infant and do homework is challenging. Especially since Regan loves to just cuddle and be held or have attention the entire time. I figured she would just sleep the entire time and I would get some quality homework time in. NOPE! But it has been a good experience and I'm glad that I am getting a heads up for when Sky and I have kids. I do know that I want to finish my degree before kids. But if I don't get what I want, I will improvise and do my best. It will just be a little harder with kids if I do online classes. Then probably impossible if I have regular classes.
I think my reasoning on why I want to wait is because I want to feel that I am there 24-7 for my kids and not feeling that I have to put them aside and do homework. Especially when you have timed tests and if a baby starts crying you have to make a choice. (no-worries I'm waiting for Kara to get home before I think about doing my test) Yesterday I was trying to do my math homework that is Online and that was hard enough.
So funny story, (well funny to me) Skyeler has a class that is requiring him to blog. HE HE HE HE HE. He has been one of those individuals that just sit and watch his wife blog and think that is dumb but if she likes it that her thing. So he is blogging now and you can see what he has to do with his class on his blog. The URL is something like skyelerlucerocareerporfolio.blogspot.com or something like that. You might want to check it out before class ends and he deletes it.
