HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MIKENA!!!

OH MY GOODNESS. ( I know I have probably started a ton of posts this way) but it has been a whole year. My little baby girl is now a whole year old! I have been kinda emotional today. I just love this little girl and she is so super special and I really am so blessed to have her.

So our day started out with Sky not having to go into work until 12 YAY! So once Mikena got up we went in and sang Happy Birthday to her. She was slightly confused but really excited about us singing to her. After we got her changed we went out to the living room where we had a ton of balloons and her gifts waiting for her. SHE LOVED the balloons. She was so excited and loved smacking them around. After playing with the balloons we helped her open her gifts and then enjoyed a morning of playing with toys, eating a yummy breakfast, and getting daddy ready for work. After dropping him off Mikena and I came home and got ready for her birthday party. We had our friends Ryker, Emmett, and Adeline over (along with the coordinating mommy) and had cupcakes and played with toys. MIKENA LOVED the attention and having her friends over. I think we are spoiled to have such great neighbors and friends.
After cupcakes we started making dinner and then had to go get daddy from work. We had such a fun day and I hope Mikena knows that she is a special girl and that I love her.

I just LOVE my little girl. Valentines Day 2014

Today was Mikena's FIRST Valentines day. She is 6 days away from her birthday and she has finally had her last first holiday. Anyway we celebrated valentines day early since Sky was off of work yesterday and not today. I loved being able to spend the day with the loves of my life.
Today Mikena and I was able to hang out with our friends. She wore her Valentines day outfit that was pink, red, and white. The shirt had a little monkey holding a heart shaped balloon and the pants had little hearts all over them.

I can honestly say that I am obsessed with my little one. She is so funny and smart. and today she surprised us with a special gift.... She started WALKING all on her own. We have been working on it for a while with her and then today after we got home from playing with our friends she decided that she didn't need to hold on to my hands anymore and just went for it. Since then she will walk and walk all over the living room.

The other day was the superbowl and Mikena LOVED to dance to the music at the halftime show.

She is seriously SOOOO funny. I just love her personality. She really has made my life better and I couldn't imagine myself with out that little girl. I have truly been blessed with a special girl. How did I get so lucky?
