Mikena's Black Eye

Mikena decided that she wanted to take a fall off our bed today. It scared the crap out of me especially since I knew that she landed on the laundry basket . Well it was her head that hit the laundry basket, right under her right eye. OH MY GOSH. lets just say that I want to put her in a bubble and never let her out again. I felt like crap and I was so worried about everything.

So long story short.... Mikena is fine, no long lasting damage. Just got a gnarly black eye. It breaks my heart every time I see it.  I never want to do that again.

One more month till miss Mikena is a year old. WOO Let the party planning commence.

• Finds it funny to play with what she isn't suppose to.
• Can climb in and out of her toy drawer.
• Hates it when daddy has to leave for work.
• Throws stuff. Favorite throwing item.. Cheerios.

Mikena lately

Mikena has been really interesting the past week or so. She has a little attitude that is starting to present itself as well as her just being silly. The other day Mikena was playing the game ... I"m going to drop this and watch you pick it up... Well I really wasn't in the mood to do that especially with her sippy cup and so I just picked it up and placed it on the table where she could see it but not touch it. (Skyeler and Tyler watched this part) She didn't like that and gave a little sound indicating so and as soon as I turned around to finish the dishes that I was washing Mikena picked up her spaghetti noodles, hung them over the high chair and dropped them on the floor. She knows not to but she does it when she isn't getting her way or she is full and bored.
She actually does stuff like that alot. Like telling her not to hang on the tv try and CONSTANTLY moving he away from it saying no and trying to distract her from it. etc etc she will IMMEDIATELY go right back to it. GAAA.

The other day Mikena started to get around in a funny way.

I find it so funny and cute.... She really does like exploring and finding new things. She is always into everything and usually always has to be around mom. She can be super sweet and cuddly but usually just wants to play and play. What a silly girl!

Oh Mikena also got into the trash and found the suckers we were getting rid of (didn't want to eat them) Well she figured out how to open one and then eat it!

Happy New Year!

HAPPY 2014! woo.  Our new years was laid back and relaxing. Sky and I really didn't want to go anywhere or do anything so we had a friend over and hung out at home. It was a nice change from driving hours and hours to celebrate a holiday.

We basically watched movies and Mikena went to bed around 9. (party pooper) Just kidding. I was actually falling asleep before midnight anyway . Then woke up said yay happy new years and went back to sleep. It was great fun.

Little miss was just toooooo tired to eat.

Mikena looked so grown up in this picture. It was really weird for me. I can't believe next month she will be 1. Where has the time gone.
Lately Mikena has been lifting up her foot when I go to put her sock on. I think she has figured that out.!
