This was Mikena yesterday after church. she was so smiley and I hope to hear her laugh soon.

Outing

I just thought this pic was super cute. I took it for her 9 week! She is such a cutie!

Lately Skyeler and I have been getting really frustrating that we haven't been able to spend any time together. He just got done working 13 days straight for 9+ hours. Skyeler would get up early head to work (or drill) and work all day and then he would come home and within a short amount of time he was falling asleep and so hardly any time is spent together. Well today he only worked half a day and once he got home we decided to head up to bridal veil falls and have a nice walk and a picknick. It was a much needed outing and I really enjoyed my time with him. I think Mikena loved being outside as well.

Easter 2013

I know that I am very late with this post but lets face it. I have been super busy.
This year it was very relaxed. Skyeler was in Richfield and was moving our stuff from Chris' house to our new apartment. Mikena and I were in Bountiful with at Dad and Kandie's house and watched the Easter egg hunt and had the traditional breakfast. I went to sacrament meeting and then went home waited for the time that we would head over to Grandma and Grandpa Knights house for dinner. By this time Skyeler was home so we got part of a holiday together. The bbq was fun. It was the first time that the Knight's were able to meet Mikena and she enjoyed the attention. 

After dinner and visiting we came home and realized we didn't take any Easter pics of Mikena so we took a few pics and got ready for bed. YAY! I think these pics with her and the eggs are really cute. But then again I think any picture of her is cute.

2 Months Old

Mikena is now 2 months old as of last Saturday. She is growing so much and starting to interact a bit. She coo's and "talks" more and she is smiling now.

Some things about Mikena:
* She loves to cuddle.
* Will sleep very well at night but really fights naps.
* Very observant and loves to look outside.
* Still has blue/grey eyes (mostly blue).
* Loves baths and hates to get out.
* Will smile at about everything that daddy does.
* Is overall a very happy baby.

 I hope you enjoyed the video and listening to Skyeler singing!. She never takes a pacifier so I guess that is why it is extra funny to me.

Mikena's baby blessing

On April 14, 2013 Skyeler gave Mikena a name and a blessing. It was a wonderful blessing and we had lots of support from our family. We are sure blessed to have so many family members who are willing to drive long or short distances to be there for our Mikena on her first special day. (Besides being born)

I am so blessed to have this little on in my life and my love for her just continues to grow. She really is a special little girl. I am so glad that she picked us.

Overall it was a wonderful and a special day. There were a few frustrations to start the day out but I hope to not let it effect the specialness of the day. For that is why we have the atonement and I need to be better with using it. There is no reason to be mad at people forever because of choices made. All that really matters to me is that I was there for my little girl and I have a loving husband who honors his priesthood and is able to bless our little one.

We Moved

HOLY CRAP, I am feeling quite stressed. It is probably because we moved last week and I am having difficulty unboxing and organizing everything. (Mikena cough cough). I am also feeling very cramped as we try to D.I. a lot of our things that we have had since we were kids that we will never use or even look at. It has been a little difficult but I feel like we still have way to much stuff even though we have taken almost 2 trunk loads of stuff. Maybe once I get everything organized it will be different. I'm sure we have added just as much stuff from having Mikena as what we have donated.
Part of my feeling crowded problem comes from the fact that our washer broke. (stupid pump) so we had to go get a new one and so I haven't been able to do laundry and all our clothes seemed to be dirty or mixed in the dirty pile and is therefore dirty. Now I was able to do some wash yesterday after my appointment in Bountiful but now I don't have any place to put it.. (no dresser) So yet again they are all in piles but at least they are clean piles.

Ok it its continued.

So we moved and it has been quite the process trying to get everything done and organized plus take care of a tiny little one. But I am somehow getting the apartment set up. Even though it has been taking a lot longer than I thought it would. I guess I never really realized how time consuming a child is.

I'm sure we all know that moving is stressful. But I don't think I will ever move again just after having a kid. Sky is at work all day and he comes home exhausted so putting boxes away really isn't something that he wants to do. Then Mikena likes to eat once he gets home so I'm stuck with her because let face it.. moms do the feeding. So it isn't like I can just say here ya go, you get to take care of the baby and I will get stuff done. The past little bit we have just had a block and not been able to do much. We will eventually get there. I hope.
