A perfect afternoon

So today after a headach from driving alone in Maryland I checked Skyeler out and we went to the lake where he played his guitar and we had a relaxing time. I love listening to him play his guitar. It really is one of my favorite things. I could listen to him for hours! I am so glad that I can be with him and we can spend a few hours together daily. It is much but with all we have gone through it is enough for me.

I made it!

Wow, can I say that that was a very long drive. It took us 3 days of almost constant driving to get here. Good thing we took a break in St. Louis! Overall it was a good road trip. I'm not exactly ready for another one right now at this very min, but I think it would be fun to take a trip with Skyeler some day.
Anyway…so far I am loving being on post. I love that Skyeler is only a five min drive away rather than 2 time zones away. There are some things that I am trying to get use to and that includes the ultamate gated community. It is weird showing my I.D. every time I come through a gate. Another thing I am trying to get use to is the wall of trees. You can't really see anything but trees when driving and so you really have to know where you are wanting to go and what exit to take. (Not helpful for me). I am also trying to get use to the humidity. I swear I feel like I am in a sauna constantly. But in time I will get use to everything. 
I am excited to be here and to get into a routine. I love having a routine... there are some things that I am excited about doing in this area. I want to go spend some more time in D.C. we went there last Friday but didn't get to spend a whole lot of time there. I want to go to Baltimore and to some of the History sites. Maryland is where Francis scott key wrote the national anthem. I want to go to Mid evil times. It is actually only a 10-15 min drive from where we live. Just go out a certain gate and drive straight till you run into the mall. There is a huge mall! It is quite awesome.
Well as soon as I get internet I will post some pics from my drive and of the house. (If anyone is interested in seeing some pics). I'm not sure when that will be. I really need to go over my finances. So it might be a bit. But we will see. I really want to show pics of the city museum! That place was awesome!

Road Trip- AKA - The time has come

So at the moment I am sitting in my car on my way to St. Louis. It has been such a long day. I can't believe I was in Denver this morning! Eventually I will update my blog with pictures of the trip but I figured I would check in. Saturday I left Bountiful and made my way to Richfield. I picked up some things I would need and Sunday we left Richfield. We drove a good 8 hrs and made it to Denver in very good time. In Denver I was able to spend the night with a really good friend of mine from JR high. I really enjoyed the time we spent there. This morning we got to a late start but was somewhat worth it.
I seriously can't believe that it is finally time for me to leave and be with Skeler again. I have missed him so much. It is funny how the closer I get the more I miss and ache to be with him. Well as soon as we stop for the night with some more friends I will be over halfway there. I just wish I was with him Now! I will soon. Very soon.

Another Countdown begins

I have a move date-ish. I am planning on leaving for Maryland next Sunday the 20th of May! I am just hoping that Skyeler will be able to finish signing the papers this upcoming Saturday. It is really frustrating when the person doesn't tell you everything you need to know and then makes it so you can't get what you need done. Seriously this is your job to help people with housing. Do it! Don't be lazy and not give all info. Anyway this week I am packing up my stuff in Bountiful and I will leave for Richfield on Saturday and pick up my dog, organized my boxes, and get a few things that I will need until Dad and Kandie can drive my stuff out to Maryland. Should be exciting right! I seriously can't wait till I can be with Skyeler. I have never liked being away from him even if we were mad at each other. We are already at 25 days without each other again. Doesn't bring comfort knowing I already spend 72 without him and during this time I have seen him less than 24 hrs. I don't like it. Especially since I was use to seeing him all the time. But things will work out and life will continue on.. I will see him soon and all will be well. Only 5 days 52 min till I leave!

Can I leave yet?

I think I am going slightly crazy with everything. I have been calling the housing individuals for on post housing and what not. My answer yesterday is that you need to talk to this person about a possible house. Now it is... oh you have one you just need to sign for it and get the key. AHHHHHHHHH. Skyeler has started classes and the time that he is in class is the exact time frame that the housing people are in and of course I'm here in Utah but can do anything anyway unless I have a power of attorney. I am still slightly confused on what I need to do in order to get my butt out there. I really need to talk to Sky. All this stuff is just confusing. I hope that he can get something accomplished even though he is stuck in class. I guess we will see what happens. I just really need him to call me so we can try to organize everything. I am just so ready to leave I am so anxious and I miss Skyeler so much. Can I just leave NOW!

Boxing up my boxed up life

This past week I went to Richfield to organize my boxed up life. I re boxed some things and boxed up anything that was left out from before. Made me really miss Skyeler though. I wish he could have helped me out. It took me and a friend 2 days to do everything and we got quite the work out.
While I was there I had my dog and he was such a funny little guy. He always had to be sitting right next to me. At times he couldn't chose between me and his crate. Especially when I had an awesome stuffed animal that he could cuddle with.
I am glad that I got everything ready, now it is just waiting till I can move out to Maryland. I hope it happens soon. He starts his classes today and I am so excited for him.

Skyeler in Church Video

I am finally getting around to this post. With the church videos I was able to watch a few with Skyeler while we were in South Carolina and Sky has been able to get online and watch some for himself. Well what we found is that you can totally see Skyeler in "Christ is condemned by Pilate". You can see him in the upper right corner when they show Mary. You can also see the back of his head as well as see him 3-4 times in the large crowd. It is really cool actually. I am so blessed to have a husband that loves the gospel and that his love of film and the church can be combined into being part of the churches media projects. I know that he wants to have a bigger part in the church films and I think he is on the right track to do so. I really did find an amazing guy.

Skyeler is adjusting so far at AIT. He still hasn't leveled up yet so he doesn't have his personal phone. (It is quite frustrating at times) But he is doing ok. He is trying to get everything ready and set up so I can go out to Maryland. We are currently on the wait list for on post housing and I was told that someone should be getting a hold of Skyeler and talking about the wait list and what type of housing we are needing etc. Hopefully it doesn't take to long because I want to go NOW! Yes it will eventually come I just really want to be with my husband. It has been 84 days total without him during this adventure. The last 12 or so days hasn't been quite as bad but still.... there is nothing like being there with your husband. So wish us luck on getting a place quickly.
