First day of school went great. Especially since I only have 2 classes that I have to worry about getting to. The rest are online. I'm not really sure what to think about broadcast classes though. It is the closest thing I can get to a regular face to face class but with intersting annoyances. For example we have to talk into a mike and you never know whether or not they can hear you becaus nothing really indicates so. Then at times you speak and then you can hear it from their end. Another is when you watch yourelf on a tiny screen under the teachers screen for the intire class period. Its a good thing that the other areas don't watch your screen as well. You mainly have 3 areas to look at. 1 big area for the lecture stuff or whatever the teacher is doing. Then the two small screens for your camera and the teachers.
I really haven't been able to look at my online classes yet but it will be interesting since this is my first semester ever with online. I hope I can keep track of everything. We will see, I just want to be done and not have to worry about school ever again for myself. Well that is broadcast for ya. I'll let you know how my online classes go once I really start working on them.

Taking care of business
Recently I feel that I have been taking care of everyone and everything. I've FINALLY got Skyeler registered for some classes thank goodness. It was kind of a pain cause he waited so long, and he needed online so the options drastically decreased. but after being on a couple waiting list I got him in a psych 1010 and public speaking. Who ever thought they would have online public speaking. I know many people have done it but whats the point? Things I have also taken care of is my scholarship I was awarded, and all sorts of financial aid stuff for both sky and I. Oh and I've also bought most of my books. that reminds me I still need about 2 books. OOOH and I talked to someone at the school about that stats program that I needed well I guess the school will take care of it so that means I don't have to buy a $200 comp. program for only one semester that I will probably only use a couple times. YAY!!
People I have taken care of includes: Skyeler of course! Kavan and Ammon by cooking dinner and cleaning up the house and buying food while Chris is at work. Mom has had a few doc. appointments and surgery to remove a couple lumps, so good ol' Sky and I picked her up and had to get her prescription from the store, and I'll probably have to go with her to the doc. to get the results. Gram W. fell out of bed so since I was the closest I had to go try to get her off the floor and see if she was ok. Then this weekend Sky and I get to help Kathy out by cleaning and maybe cooking some yummy dinners. We'll see if she actually lets us clean up.
I'm excited for tomorrow we are going to go take care of more things up in Orem and get Skys school books and fingure out the last little bit of our financial aid. Were going to have my necklace inspected that Sky got me for V-day. Then we will go to the mall and buy a limited amount of clothes for school. I'm just happy to be out of Richfield for a little bit. It got really boring around here while Sky was at work and our power went out and messed up our internet and cable. Needless to say I've finished another book making 7 books and 5,196 pages. Yup I know a lot. Just think once school starts I'll be trying to avoid reading. :) Actually I'll need to do better this semester and make sure to get good grades for my scholarship. I have to at least have a 3.0 and I usually make that but I don't want to take any chances. It basically is paying for my school books this yr.

Moving Forward
I am basically ready for school!! YAY. I'm excited actually. I am all registered and ready to start. Only thing is that I have to buy my books and I really don't want to. Its going to be pricey this semester. For my stats for behavioral science or psychology stats I have to get this extra thing that is 200 bucks. It is called PASW Gradpac 18 also known as SPSS, does anyone know what this is? Because for my stats class alone there are 2 books and this thing. plus I have 4 other classes. Good thing I might get a scholarship so I can pay for books and not have to use all that loan money.
Skyeler finally got a job and his dad will be starting at a mine soon as well. They both got jobs within days of each other. Thank goodness! Maybe we can finally support ourselves and not have to depend on the government for basics. Skyeler will be working in Nephi at that HUGE building on the south side. It is called Fiber Tech and they make the insulation and ship it out. As of now Skyeler is an on call but he has been getting a lot of hours especially since they are 12 hr shifts! Since starting on Wednesday he has been scheduled for 7 days. He will be making approx $10 an hour depending on if he has the day or night shift. Also we will be getting insurance soon!! yay. I'm excited about that. This company pays the entire premium for sky and about 50% for dependents. If you want to know more about the job just talk to Sky, i'm sure he would love to talk about it. He has been enjoying work and the company is a good one. They have high LDS standards and are very kind to their employees. Just ask him about holiday pay!!
As of now I'm still holding off on really looking for a job. I want to make sure that this new type of schooling is going to work out and that I didn't over do things by taking 16 credits with online and broadcast stuff. But one class is a music class so it should be easy. I'm taking it so I can transfer it back to UVU and have my associates. I think I was short 1 credit. LAME!
I'm very glad that I feel that life is finally moving forward and that Sky has a good job so when we finally do move away from Richfield we will be able to support ourselves and not be so poor!!
